One of my grandfathers made several of these wooden reindeer for the family, I'd guess at least 30yrs ago. I believe I have the last 2 remaining, and that's down from 5 just at my house. Every year I do minor (sometimes major) "surgery" to keep them intact, using others for donors.
Every year I'm sure this will be their last Christmas, yet here we are again- and I think Grandpa would be happy!

Great time to finally sit down with a Fathers Day gift from DaringDaughter. Cedar Point has long been a favorite destination of our family, with some wild experiences to add to the stories. The Top Thrill Dragster was special in that I promised to wait for my first ride until DaringDaughter was tall enough to ride too. Being DaringDaughter, she chose the front seat, a decision we immediately regretted at launch- then promptly got over as we crested the tower!
